Align Pilates NZ – Liability Waiver & Terms
1. Acknowledgement of Risk & Consent
I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older, or that I have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate in classes at Align Pilates NZ.
I understand that Pilates and related fitness activities involve physical exercise that may be strenuous and include, but are not limited to, stretching, resistance training, balance work, and the use of equipment such as Reformers, dumbbells, resistance bands, jumpboards, and other studio apparatus.
I acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury, and I voluntarily accept full responsibility for my participation.
2. Health Declaration
I confirm that I am physically fit and able to participate in Pilates classes. I agree to inform Align Pilates NZ of any injuries, medical conditions, or health concerns that may affect my ability to exercise safely.
I understand that I may be required to obtain medical clearance prior to participating.
If I am pregnant or postnatal, I confirm that I have consulted with my healthcare provider and received approval to participate.
I acknowledge that Align Pilates NZ does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and I take full responsibility for my health and wellbeing during all classes.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, I agree that Align Pilates NZ, including its owner(s), instructors, and staff, will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from my participation in classes or use of the studio facilities.
4. Instructor Authority & Safety
I agree to follow all instructions provided by the instructor.
Align Pilates NZ reserves the right to refuse or stop my participation at any time if it is considered unsafe for myself or others.
Late arrivals may not be permitted to join a class once it has commenced, for safety reasons.
5. Personal Property
Align Pilates NZ is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost, damaged, or stolen while on the premises.
6. Photography & Media Consent
Please indicate your preference:

7. Bookings & Cancellation Policy
Bookings are essential.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the class start time may be rescheduled or credited to your package.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class, or failure to attend, will result in the full session being charged.
A minimum of two participants is required for group classes. If a class is cancelled due to low numbers, you will be notified and the session will be credited.
8.Group Class Policy
A minimum of 2 participants is required for a group class to run. If only 1 participant is booked, the class may be cancelled up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time.
If a class has already met the minimum number of participants and spaces are available, clients may join the class with less than 1 hour's notice. In this case, the class credit will be deducted from the client's package or membership after the class.
9. Waiting List Policy
If a class is full, you may request to join the waiting list.
If a space becomes available, you will be notified and may be automatically booked into the class.
Once booked from the waiting list, cancellations made within 8 hours of the class will be charged in full. Please email or text at least 8 hours before the class start time.
10. Packages & Refunds
All class packages, Memebership and sessions are:

Not exchangeable for cash or credit
Packages have a fixed expiry date from the first class attended and cannot be extended.
11. Membership Policy
Memberships are ongoing and renew automatically every 4 weeks using the payment method on file. Unused membership classes do not roll over to the next membership period and expire at the end of each 4-week billing cycle. If a membership payment cannot be processed, access to bookings may be suspended until payment has been successfully completed.
12. Membership Cancellation Policy
To cancel a membership, a minimum of 14 days' written notice is required before the next billing date. Cancellation requests must be submitted by email.
If notice is received less than 14 days before the next billing date, the next membership payment may still be processed, and the membership will remain active until the end of that paid period. Membership fees are non-refundable once payment has been processed.
13.Membership Holds
Memberships may be placed on hold for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks due to holidays, injury, or other circumstances. Hold requests must be submitted by email prior to the requested hold date and are subject to studio approval.
14. Studio Conduct
Clients agree to follow all studio guidelines relating to safety, hygiene, and equipment use to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
15.Studio Changes & Updates
Align Pilates NZ reserves the right to update class schedules, pricing, intro offers, packages, memberships, instructors, and studio policies when necessary, without prior notice.
16..Teen Classes Policy
Teen classes are designed exclusively for teenage clients and are not available for adults. Participants must fall within the designated age group for teen sessions. Align Pilates reserves the right to request proof of age if required.
17. Agreement
By booking or attending classes at Align Pilates NZ, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
